This business garners income from earnest application of my time,
knowledge and skills.
Every item purchased for your needs is sold to you at cost. Should my
business relationship with a vendor receive a discount - you will
receive and benefit from that discount.
This benefits you in several areas. First, I do not increase the price
on that product or service you need. Additionally, I am un-biased as to
which product / service to recommend. There is no financial bias as to
making more profit from one item or another.
Computer technology can change rapidly, to the point where sitting
inventory can become out of date. You won't be sold a product that has
been "sitting on my shelves" and has been superceded by a newer version.
The minor exception is an item already inventoried by me. This
typically consists of cables - printer, USB, network. Cables don't
become technically obsolete as rapidly as electronic devices. The bonus
from this inventory is that you receive a cable sized specifically for
your needs - neither one vastly too long nor one "just a bit" too short.
My rate is listed as hourly though there is "no minimum". Should you
have a question that lasts twenty minutes then you're responsible for only
twenty minutes - not a quarter, half, or full hour.
